Welcome to Gormanly.com, a collaboration site for family and friends. The first reason that lead me to build this site was to have one special place to share photos, stories and events for our baby Nicholas and be able to look back on everything in the future. The site is also a safe place to make available family pictures, videos, blogs and more by not harvesting your information and pictures as the big social networking sites do to sell to marking firms. If you create an account you will automatically have a personal site created on gormanly.com that has public and private pages that allow you to blog, share photos, manage a calendar, chat with family members, plan events, integrate with other social networking sites (like twitter) and much more. You can choose what information and pictures you want to share with the whole internet, site members, groups, individuals, or no one at all!

Right now I am leaving account registration open to everyone, anticipating that interest in the site will only be from family, friends and friends of family. If the site starts growing beyond, I reserve the right to remove accounts that are not using the site in a manor in line with its intended purpose, and may eventually change the account creation process to require approval.
In addition to personal sites, communities can also be set up and can be administered by site members. If there is a event, function, project or anything else that might benefit from a collaborative web space contact me and I can set it up for you.
